Recent Changes

Mary and Lori want to provide Maggie/Maryanne time alone with a small group so this is a way we can provide meaningful instruction to the rest of the kids while they do that. Mary and Lori will get the other time block to work with just first grade, doing first grade math and theme journals.
Wednesday would be each teacher with their seated kids since it's short day.
Can we carve out a time block 4x weekly for that readaloud/music time block... Maryanne and Mary doing music, Lori/Maggie readaloud :-) Right after lunch works for me, or right after recess... Mary

Hi everyone! This is our first official wiki page :-) Randa has told us in the past that if everyone posts something to a wiki, we can count it as one of our PLC meetings, so I hope to use this format a lot next year.

Per our discussion today, I'm setting up a wiki for us to post ideas about this time block for next year.
Suggestion is that 2/3 teachers take 1st block for math-- just now thinking, that due to 2nd block being miniclasses on Friday we should do this 1st time block right after lunch.
Mary will use Growing Readers (link provided fyi, don't feel like you have to go buy it! I have one we can share) to plan afternoon activities with Lori that we can do together with our 1-2 and possibly some 3rd too students during the time block you specify.

We stated that we want this to be somewhat fluid so if something comes up and we need to switch it, that we can feel like we can - all agreed this was absolutely necessary :-)
